Newer Type 97 NSR-G2

Interesting. I've wanted a t97 for a while, but the additional cost of the ftu to make it optics capable has been a deal breaker (plus I'm a poor student...) but with graduation coming later this year maybe I'll have to pick up the gen2 if it's priced reasonably.

Milk, eggs and tuna will make it so you can afford anything :D

Kraft Dinner and Spam "helping gun owners pursue their hobby since 1937"

Have you seen the price of spam and kd these days? 10 bucks for a box of 12 kds and 5.99 for a piddly little can of spam...

My wife would kill me if i tried to feed her Spam... she doesn't even like the Monty python skit.

As for eggs milk and tuna, milk is expensive! Besides, food costs are hardly the issue when rent is $1400 and the heating bill keeps going up because we're actually getting a winter in Vancouver for once...

^^^ spam is a big deal in Hawaii, they serve it fried in some restaurants for breakfast with a variety of flavors but it's also 1/2 the price of here.

Some may not know it was originally created so the military could have meat in the field.

Try rice, tuna, eggs and frozen veges. Huge bag of rice can last months for $20. 48 tray of eggs for $5 exist in some stores. Can's of tuna for $0.70 to $1 are out there and frozen veges, big bag, $4 for a month. Get a box of salt, hot sauce or something to change it up and you won't spend more than $100 a month for food.

Back on topic, I wonder if they fixed the feed ramp and magwell issues. All the mods will be a waste if the rifle destroys half the bullets before it even shoots them.

EDIT: Oh, you're married. Nevermind.

Your numbers are way off. 30 eggs (2.5 dozen) is $6 or $7 at Costco. A big bag of frozen veg is $8-10, not 4, and lasts 4-5 meals feeding a wife and 3 young children....

I'll have to wait and see with one of these. So many reports about feeding issues on the old ones, it seems some people get lucky and others are terrible...

Yup. The t97 gets dumped for various issues on EE each day. I see them changing hands more often than the cz858 these days
