Hi Guys,

I'm trying to locate some 7.62 x 39 brass that is appropriate to reload. It is not an urgent situation, but I would like to get my hands on some.
Also any primers, powder and projectiles that are correct.

I would like to try a site supporter when possible.

Cheers,

Have you looked at a manual for a bullet/powder combo you want to use? I have only seen lapua brass for 7.62x39, but it will run you 76 cents a piece. Once you find your desired combo, check out x-reload, budgetshootersupply, etc. Lots of good sponsors should carry most of what you need

Thanks! Budget had some brass.
Any suggestions on powder and projectile?
I have seen .308 and .310 listed on various sites. But in early stages at this point.

PRVI makes decent x39 brass and bullets, Tradex should have both in stock.
CanAm has cheap Russian LRP and some very cheap OEM powder (4198 speed) that will work well with this.

How much brass are you looking for?
I may be able to help you out.
I have some PMC once fired, sized and deprimed with crimp and red sealant still in place.
I also have some PMC once fired, ready to load cleaned in SS pins.

PRVI or S&B brass will work fine. The round is low pressure and brass will last a long time.

Its also my opinion that its only worth while to load x39 for a bolt rifle. Semis such as sks or cz will rip the crap out of your good brass.

I use brass from once fired Geco 7.62x39 rounds, IMR 4198, CCI LR primer.

Projectile is the biggest cost in 7.62x39. Options are:
1. Hornady VMax .310.
2. Pull it from surplus. They can be very accurate if you weight each one of them.
3. Berry's 123 grain plated .310 projectile. I can't figure out a load that's accurate past 50 yards.

Good accuracy from my CZ527 with Vmax or Surplus projectiles once I work out the load.
