I agree with this assessment. It is quite likely the RCMP brass sat with Goodale and staffers on his appointment to begin the drafting of new legislation.
I'd say the CFOs know what is in the works as the Manitoba office gave Wolverine the heads up to suspend the release of sales until a classification ruling. This ruling shouldn't suprise anyone and it is likely tied to the hammer that is about to fall on firearms ownership in this country. With this Liebral majority showning an unwavering willingness to ram-rod through extremely poor policy, it isn't a question of if they will gut firearm ownership, but when. The courts are our only option, and this needs to be fought tooth and nail.

I don't see the courts as an option. The Crown will simply appeal any decision it doesn't like until it goes to the Supreme Court, which is strategically stacked with far left brutes to defeat any cause the far left wants. Those on that bench are quite comfortable in making new law, parliament be damned.

They were milled for full auto but there was never any drilling or installation for auto parts. Basiclly it had the room for full auto parts (before they weldes those blocks in) but they were never touched with full auto parts.

Okay.
I'm not trying to play devils advocate but I remember when they actually prohibed the old CZ858's it was the same confusion and speculation and madness.
I started writing letters and sending e-mails even though I didn't own one at the time nor do I now. I'm going to start doing it again but I like to fully understand a situation before I fight for it obviously.

Essentially, they were milled as a full auto receiver and then had blocks welded in so FA parts could not be installed. Aside from that did they also require more drilling/machining to make them accept FA trigger or is the only thing differentiating the old CZ858 2-P receiver from being FA capable the blocks welded in? ie did they need additional holes drilled into the receiver etc to make them a finished FA receiver? Or were they FA receivers and just had after production modifications to make them semi auto capable only?
It's one or the other or I'm missing some other possibility in between.

Travis you are correct about the receivers. They have welds inside to prevent the installation of a full auto trigger group. Not only that, but the trigger groups that came in the CZ 858 Tactical -2P had all the automatic parts cut off. So not only would you have to re-machine the receiver but you would also have to acquire a VZ58 full auto trigger group ie. springs, disconnector, trigger, sear, safety etc. or manufacture the parts yourself. Either route is illegal and beyond the scope of the vast majority of people.

Of course the definition the RCMP are using for 'easily convertable' etc is that 'easily' applies to someone with the facilities and abilities to have manufactured a full auto from scratch without having to bother to convert something......

If you are able to convert something like this, you could have built one without having to mess around with rejigging something else.

We have no "Spartan" versions, they never existed, we have a shipment of CZ 858 Tactical -2P rifles that we have purchased and paid for (months ago) these were legally imported, cleared by CBSA and we intend to sell them at some point in time.

Let me see if I understand correctly. The guns were imported as a Tactical -2P and you intended to engrave it and change the furniture in house. This technically changes the 'model' and requires a new FRT number so it can hit the retail market. So it's the "spartan" model that's prohibited and not the CZ858 Tactical-2P which the "spartan" model is based uppon.

Did I pass?

There is no Spartan model. Spartan model was invented in RCMP FRT lab.

My cz858 has Magpul furniture. So I have Cz858 "Magpul" model, which is not in FRT database. Issue me new FRT please.

Which colour? Wouldn't there have to be one for each colour? What if you just changed one piece of furniture? What if you had a Fan Defence grip, ceracoted the receiver pink? The frt numbers could be endless!!!!!

As before, the Great Fascist Property Ban of February 2013, I'll be writing letters. If there's legal action, I'll be contributing.

Best of luck Wolverine, can't begin to imagine how infuriating it is to have this happen a second time. You guys are champs.

It's not the stock fittings that are the issue. If it were , no one would get them past Canada Customs.
They are using Receiver markings etc. The ATF in America started it and the Liberal Gun Bill used it
back when Allen Rock was in charge.
Study the US import restrictions and assault rifle restrictions, you will see where we are and where we could go. That is why
Colt went from AR15 to AR15 Sported etc

No I understand this now.
The CZ858 2-P's were built on auto receivers. The receivers were converted to semi auto only. They would have fallen under Converted Auto and clearly been prohibited. However the hell the RCMP missed this when they came in, they were deemed Non Res. Though by Firearms Act definition they should have been prohibited as converted auto.
Fast forward x number of years, they realized they f**ked up. They prohib the CZ858 2-P post 2006 models as they were built on converted auto receivers. The CPC passes an OIC to make them non restricted again. Make the CZ858 2-P non restricted (important) The RCMP now look incompetent, even in the eyes of the public due to the media coverage of the matter and they are pissed.
Wolverine brings in 300 or so more exact beaver barf and grey painted CZ858 2-P's in (because they are awesome) now that the OIC has made them non restricted. The RCMP can do nothing and are now ROYALLY pissed.
Fast forward to today, the RCMP catch wind of another 250-ish CZ858 2-P's coming in but this time they see the guns have been given a new stock and new markings. They back door the OIC by declaring this batch of CZ858 2-P are actually a brand new rifle (as absolutely ridiculous as that is!) they then prohibit them under a new FRT based on the Converted Auto/Easily Converted to full auto.
Greasy Mother F**kers.
All that aside though, their original basis for prohibiting the post 2006 CZ858's technically does make sense as it clearly would violate our retarded laws against Converted autos.
Now all that being said, if wolverine had imported straight up, beaver barf furniture, grey painted CZ858 2-P exactly as before they probably wouldn't have had a leg to stand on. Wolverine, if there was ever a clear case for a law suit, this would be it.
This country..
Sorry for this Wolverine. I've ordered many parts and a couple guns off you over the years. Always A+ all around. If anyone is looking for gun stuff, support your locally "dicked-by-the-Feds" dealer!

I agree with all of this but I wouldn't call it a converted auto as it never was an auto. To me it sounds like they were purpose built SA riffles using some of the same parts. Correct me if that's wrong

Sadly this is karma for poking the bear with that dumbass engraving. :(

I was thinking the same too at first but I didn't understand the full history of the rifle.
Read my above summary. This has been burning them up since the OIC was placed and publicly b*tch slapped them.
They could have been engraved with "The RCMP are very useful!" with the new stocks and they still would have declared it a new rifle, then new FRT and prohib.
They have had revenge on the front burner for a long time. They just finally saw a chance to pounce. Shows you were the bulk of their focus is.
It's good to see our Federal Police agents acting so spitefully and deviously with so much effort and focus against the most law abiding people in the country. Call me perplexed....

Can just the furniture kits be brought in?

I would buy one just to post to social media..... On the RCMP page.
