LAR mags still good?

Oh really, I thought the villagers already came out with their pitch forks over that and prohitted it. Rcmp calling it a dual calibre mag therefore only 5x .223 rounds? Again though by my own admission i haven't been following this close to confirm

I believe you are correct, although the general consensus is that the the RCMP do not make law, and therefore their interpretation/decision is not legally binding. None the less, that opinion will be taken into consideration in a judicial proceeding and I'd rather not be the test monkey for case law. I'll be sitting on the sidelines, waiting for definitive results from the courts.

There are no legal definitions of a "dual calibre magazine" nor any laws for or against them, so legally there is just the rhetoric of "whatever the magazine was designed for" because you have magazines designed for .40 S&W and will fit and feed a 9mm, and there's where the ambiguity comes in as the RCMP say that .50 magazines were ORIGINALLY designed as .223 magazines and are therefore prohib, but a few mfgs of beowulf magazines have said to the otherwise. There's someone who's being a guniea pig for this situation already.
