Prvi ammo too hot for enfield revolver?

Seems the only 38 sw i can find for my enfield mk2 is prvi. Just wondering if you guys think it's too hot to fire. I dont think the serbians make it with our safety in mind. I know ive read alot of articles claiming prvi ammo to be loaded a little hotter then average.
 
Does the ammo have published data? Bullet weight and velocity?

38 S&W is a pretty anemic cartridge from the get go. Never heard of 38 S&W +P, so I don't think that's an issue.

BTB - You can reload those things using your 9mm dies.

I have never heard of PPU being hotter than regular ammo, usually it seems to be right around where it needs to be. They wouldn't make a high pressure .38 S&W as pretty much everything chambered in .38 S&W is a weaker design.

I'm rather surprised that you found loaded 38 S&W to begin with?

The only ammo I came across was collector grade stuff at a gun show. Far too expensive to shoot.

I have fire several boxes of privi 38 s&w in my mark 2 with no problems did not notice anything wrong with it. I even cronoed some it and it seemed pretty consistent. but I cant find my load data book the the moment when I do I will put my numbers up for ya. trade ex has boxes for 35.50 for 145gr lrn

Things Military had a few boxes at the Thorncliff gunshow on the weekend. Didn't see the price but it's usually not out of line considering how few options are out there.
 
I just picked up some Remington 38sw from my local Bass Pro. I was really surprised they had it cause they are more of a hunting only store. It was $34 bucks for a 50 round box.

Beats the $50+ that 455 Webley ammo usually goes for.

Just remember, those Enfield, Webley and Smith and Wesson (M & P and Victory Model) revolvers are designed to shoot a 147 to 200 grain bullet, the 146 grain bullet will shoot quite a bit lower than point of aim.

I load the cartridge for my older Colts with a 140 grain round nose flat point lead bullet and they shoot pretty much to point of aim with those revolvers. Again, quite a bit lower with the Smiths.
