Mosin Nagant Bolt head extractor problem

Just got my Mosin from a business sponsor here on CGN last week. Tried out today at the range,and the extractor just broke into 2 pieces....thought I didn't some wrong so it happened....But seems many of these rifles are having same issues..and yet, there are not many replacement parts around in Canada....anyone knows any store that has the extractor for sale? please help!!Thanks!!

This will happen when the round isn't being fed from the magazine. There isn't enough give in the extractor or room in the receiver to try to force the extractor lip over the rim of the cartridge.

I'm not saying this is what happened but I have seen this exact same incident happen on several occasions.

I got an extractor for my mosin off eBay, from a Finnish seller. Search for mosin extractor and I'm sure a few will pop up, it was really reasonably priced.

Found the sellers info:

Seller name is want4want and I'd deal with them again, super fast shipping plus they had a make an offer option on the listing when I needed one.

Thanks for the info, but I really don't know what has happened....cause it didn't break when I was shooting it, it broken into 2 when I was disassemble the bolt for cleaning...I might twisted too much or something...it's a very old design and old rifle..so I think anything could happen ...

Apparently sivani68 from Tallin, Estonia ships worldwide. Although price is USD20 for just an extractor. There is also buldozjor who ships from Latvia for measly $3.50 and his price is USD16.

Thanks bro!!!! I just bought 3 off the Latvia guy...but it's funny, when I tried to buy it from my cell phone app..it says item does not ship to your primary address. But I just did it on my computer with (ship worldwide option in the description). Anyway, although it cost me total of 73 Canadian dollars...But I guess saving 2 for future is better than buy more new mosin rifle at least 200 bucks a piece . Hopefully I can get it fast!!! Thanks again for your info and all other !!!!!

Thanks bro!!!! I just bought 3 off the Latvia guy...but it's funny, when I tried to buy it from my cell phone app..it says item does not ship to your primary address. But I just did it on my computer with (ship worldwide option in the description). Anyway, although it cost me total of 73 Canadian dollars...But I guess saving 2 for future is better than buy more new mosin rifle at least 200 bucks a piece . Hopefully I can get it fast!!! So how come that cost you C$73? What was added to the price besides the US conversion rate? Would be good to know for the future.

6.40US for shipping to Canada..if you buy 1, the shipping gonna be 3.50 US ...so adding that to 16usx3+6.40us with (FRAUD ALERT) exchange rate..it was 73.03 for me ....And the seller confirmed just moment ago. He is sending them to me ...so at least that's a relief!

O.K. Somehow I erroneously understood from the website that the Latvian guy was selling a set of 3 extractors for USD16! Too good to be true!
Still good to know that the guy is legit.
