I'm quite sure that Ive seen 99% alcohol in the pharmacy dept, at Costco for a couple $$$. I noticed as well that Amazon has some crazy high prices on certain items.
 
I was going to make my own lube, but in the meantime I bought a 2 oz bottle of the RCBS case lube, it was $7.00. I am quite surprised at how far a little bit goes, I,m sure that small bottle will last me at least a couple years.
 
I got 1/2 ltr of 99% alcohol and 250ml lanolin for $35 shipped on amazon a couple years ago. That's enough to last for me for years.
 
iherb mentioned earlier has deals on shipping sometimes. Even now it is $16 shipped for the liquid lanolin. Most pharmacies type store have 99% isopropyl for $5 or less or buy in bulk at Costco 4 x 500ml package was 9.99 I think. I looked for it even cheaper in the US but apparently they are only allowed to sell 80% over the counter. I use a spray bottle to apply form the dollar store. Lanolin is also great for your dried out hands in the winter. :)
 
Lanolin is available at herbal medicine and natural healt stores,not health food stores. And most pharmacies carry 99% isopropyl alcohol ,you do not want rubbing alcohol . Unless your removing your fingernail polish:)
