Finally cleaned my Glock! (and color filled it)

i did the exact same with my M305 - makes a world of difference when you can actually see the markings on the sights!
unfortunately i also cleaned and oiled my rear sight and now it moves far too freely.
i think im gonna have to put some thick grease in it to slow it down.... a light wind will pretty much turn the dial now.

Are you running the original Norc sights? If so, switch to USGI NM. World of difference.

*note - the 22 came painted thats why it looks a litter dimmer on the white
**2nd note - my BB gun actually says M&P40 on it - i didnt know that i just assumed it said M&PBB

so i finally cleaned my Glock 17C!
have had the bugger for a couple years now and was gonna wait till the damn thing started to mess up but i couldn't stand how dirty it was anymore.
i was taking my new G19 out to the shop to give it a good clean and figured if i was doing 1 id do the other at the same time.

after i was done i realized i was still bored and had nothing to do so i decided to color fill the slides and the G19 mags (the G17C mags i had done a couple years back).

wow does that make the slide POP!

Your thread inspired me to color fill my CC lower. I'm still undecided on whether or not I will BUT I figured I'd try it out on something else first. I have a Glock 22 and a 17 obviously those mags will fit in either gun. I also like to take new people out to the range, I figured as a safety precaution I'd fill some mags to enhance visibility. Not only was it easier than I first though, but it looks great. Thanks for your inspiration!

back when i made that video (3 years ago) i started color filling my mags.
it makes it sooooooooo much easier to get mags out of the safes now.
if you have more than 1 caliber of the same gun its indispensable!
its so nice now to just glance at the mag and see what it is, not have to tilt it back and forth and wait for the light to catch it so i can see what caliber its for.
i made a point to sit back and over 2 nights i colored in every mag i have.
it killed 2 winter nights but it was worth the effort for sure.

think i have a pic still in my photobucket from one of the nights
ya, i have some pic's, some with and without paint and than a group shot of one night.
