**UPDATE, SELLER AGREED TO GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK**

So I bought a UMP lower off the the EE so I can finish my UMP build.

Guy I bought it off said he would install all the parts for me, which he did a terrible job at best doing not too mention he stated this was a full complete parts kit (again another lie from him, missing all kinds of internal parts which didn't allow the lower safety to function). Then lie after lie from him about where the other spare parts were so I asked him for my money back.

So now after that the seller is ignoring me and I am down right pissed off (I will refrain from mentioning his name FOR NOW BUT BUYER BEWARE WITH THIS SELLER)

Anywho, I need help installing the safeties on the ump lower. I have everything installed (including the missing parts he didn't included, slide, reset, pins... a whole whack.of stuff) correctly but I can't get the left side safety to click in and mate with the right side??

Any suggestions??? I keep jiggling the cocking lever and slide but the selector will only go so far in.

Hey Bfiles, put the safeties into the "safe" position on your lower, then push the safety selector "detent" piece in with your finger and move the safety UP past safe.

Then you can push the left side safety in all the way then you'll hear a large "clunk" as you push the safety back down onto safe!

Let me know if there's anything else you need help with!

ETA

Don't be afraid to wiggle a couple pieces and you may also need to pull up on the 'safety sear' piece at the left side of the lower.

Also, just taking a look at your lower, there is a spring missing on the left side of the "Locking Lever" (or what I called the safety sear) I don't think this is a critical piece as there are 2, but in case it gives you any issues, it's part number 41 in the USC45 schematic

AWESOME MAN!!!!!!!

I'm still trying right now with no luck but I'll keep at it.

Yes the second spring of course wasn't included with the "complete" parts kit in fact neither was the other spring but had a spare one (facepalm).
It's also missing a second sear spring LOL.

I have read thay the second spring (left side spring) isn't needed for some reason.

I'll get back to ya if I continue to have issues

Just keep in mind the 2 levers have to be lined up for the left side to slide into the trigger pack, so once the right side trigger is "Up" into its disassembly location, rotate the left side one to match it! (you can see when it's out there is a little cutout that the safety lever has to match to slide into)

There's always some wiggling to get it into place, but the worst part for me was always the locking lever, as you need to lift it up.

It puts some pressure on the hammer for a 'lighter' trigger pull, so the 2 springs usually make it a little nicer to shoot, but as I said before it's not a critical piece. I'd say try and order it from North Sylva, but you'll be waiting 2+ years to get it from them like when I got the barrel retaining roll pins...

OH MY FVCK I GOT IT!!!!!

What happened was I have a Navy 3 potion lower so it is reversed for the safeties as a normal usc selectors are upside down .

Thank you so much dude for your help!!!! Now I hope the left side safety won't walk itself out when I flick the switch.

Haha awesome! I couldn't see it was a Navy so I suppose "Push Up" would have worked better :p

The left side safety has a little tab that prevents it from coming out except in that "disassembly" position, so you won't have to worry about it coming out on you ;)

GOOD, I'm dicking around with it now and it works as should be.

Question, on your stock is there a proof mark on it anywhere (like on the face of the stock that sits against the reciever? ?

Mine isn't a traditional UMP45 conversion, so I never got a UMP stock for mine :p From what I have seen though there should be a date code on the front face where it sits against the stock block or receiver.

Back when it was restricted:

How it is now, Non restricted :D

Why won't you share the lying SOB's handle seriously the feedback system needs honest contributors and hopefully you at least left a negative on his feedback.

So here is what I did to the Navy lower (as using usc selectors they end upside down on the navy)

With it on fire:

Wit it on safe:

So I got rid of the white selector line, melted in new lines and painted then white to match up with the model of operation.
Thank GOD in had spares just incase I melted too much

Just finished milling out the upper reciever for the ump mags (but waiting to get the mag release kit now from the guy I bought the "complete set" from :-/. It wasnt sent with the rest of the lower (facepalm)

Well it appears as if mine is either an airsoft stock or taken off of a Hera ump folding stock kit or.....cuz there are ZERO proof marks on my stock

That little fella one one of my first prototypes, a solid sheet steel charging handle with a 3d printed plastic "handle". It has worked awesome over the years, I figured it might wear the upper out too much with hard use, but definitely wasn't the case. I was going to do a group buy or something with them, but they take a lot of manual work to round out all the edges that need to be rounded; so i figured it wasn't worth it.

I'm not sure what brand of stock that is, but an HK factory stock should have THIS stamped into it:
So definitely NOT an HK factory stock.

(The date code of production)

bad-UMP-stock-6.jpg

So it could be an Airsoft.... (The B&T stocks usually have a flatter top than the rounded top... and much better finished) although worst case, as long as it fits into the stock hinge, it may work. The USC doesn't have much recoil so it's not going to fall apart....

Although it does appear the guy may not have been honest in a lot of these things...
