Hey fellow gunnerz I just put together a 10 22 build with a 12.5 dlask threaded muzzle ..didn't bother buying a thread protector as I had a couple at home the problem is the threaded end is much longer than my caps cover..... any way wondering if dlask is the only ones that cover the end or if anyone has some options would be much appreciated thanks !

i have found that Dlask threaded barrels are longer than most of the ones on the market.
i run one of his and one custom made one that i picked up in the states - but i had to have it made to fit the longer threading so it wounldnt ground out before getting all the way.... nut deep, haha!

got me thinking and i remember having this exact problem couple years back.
had a pic up on my online album.

this is a TacSol comp on my 8.5" Dlask - as you can see the threading is too deep for the TacSol comp.
that was why i had to get a custom made one that was deeper, i recall measuring how deep the threading was when i ordered the custom one to make sure it would work.

of course as with anything you could fix it yourself or take it to a machine shop and have the comp drilled and tapped deeper if you have the know how.
trimming the barrel threading down is of course a no-no.

I assume the ones from dlask fit tho hey ? Would be kinda silly if they didn't haha .... as for the spacer haven't thought of that just put it all together last night and had the issue....

I can also confirm that they fit.
