Got a credible source to back this up?
Of course not
Actually TI stated a few updates back that it would only take a few days to tool yp for our Canadian version and a week or so to complete the order

^^^^^ few posts.
Not a "credible source", but simple math. Factory = "X"$ to just pay the costs of keeping the doors open. Then they need profit, and wages, beyond what the basic infrastructure hard costs would be.
From this, one could surmise a reasonable assumption on how many units a year would be required for a factory, to stay afloat, after all hard costs are taken into account. I'm guessing that TI, as well as other players in the import business, have a better idea of total factory output, historically, than one could guess from basic math.
As far as this order goes, by itself, total timetable would(should) be quite short. Variables would be how overlaps in production are treated. I.E. can they do this in conjunction with a military Type 81 order, in parallel, as far as assembly process rolls? Or is it 100% independent, start to finish?
To be viable, I would think that production of this Canadian order would have to fall well short of a month (total time), to even be feasible, for the factory, no matter how low the factory wage is.
"A few days" may be a little low, but I would be surprised to find that a month, would be viable. If this order is 100% start-to-finish independent of other work in the factory, I'd wager it would nearly take more to shut down, get ready and startup this line, and then shut down for the next line; than the actual production time.
And I could easily have my head up my a$$. I don't know how long. Just ridin' the ride, like the others here, waiting.
^^^^good read thank you! Now let's say the rifles are fully complete crated and ready for their journey over to canada.......how long does it take for these to arrive in Canada from the day they are shipped? Also how long to clear customs?
My last shipment from China via sea took a month to get to eastern Canada. It depends on the routing of the ship and how many ports it stops at along the way. It could come to Vancouver and get on a train for all we know. Customs is the catch. If it's cleared in advance it's off the ship and on it's way in a day or two. It can take up to a week or more if there's a paperwork snag or goods are packed in wood that has not been treated/fumigated to the correct standard. In which case they will fumigate the entire sea can before releasing.

To determine they are prohibited and seized
They can't be. They have already been determined not to be AK variants and we are just about at that magic 365 day mark at which time classification becomes unchangeable. Near as I can tell, February 4th is the one year anniversary of these rifles being classified non-restricted. as of 9 days from today, the RCMP are powerless to change that.
