Cutting 22" to 18,5" barrel on M305

Not quite - 18" and below makes it a prohibited firearm (unless originally manufactured barrel is shorter). Going less than 18.5 but above 18 still results in a restricted firearm which is subject registration (with an RPAL license requirement of course).

Sounds like a lot of trouble (and legal risk) to go to for a couple of inches of barrel length...
