Before finding out about LRB and Wolverine I had sent this email to LRB about shipping to CDA, this is their reply today.

So, how much was the receiver you were looking at?
Any of their receivers are going to cost you over $1,000 by the time it's here. It's a pity we can't easily ship these parts kits to LRB Arms for rifle builds on their receivers, but on a positive note that gives Canadian gunsmiths a lot more business.

Dump question: 1277 receiver + 1200 heavy barrel parts kit +500 gunsmith labor. You can buy a Springfield NM with this money. Is it worth to do that? I bought the heavy barrel parts kit, I was planning to use my norinco's receiver. I don't know much about the build, is the LRB receiver will make big difference?

You need to compare your prices to the LRB @ $4500..... IMHO.
And yes, even the Chi-com reciever will be a better build an a SAI, again IMHO.

What m14medic said. Vast majority of Norc receivers are top notch for fit. Sure it's not as finely finished as an LRB, but it's a lot less money. You'll be very happy. But if you want to build on an LRB or SAI and have the money, why not? Do it because we can! So many options. Just don't ever plan on taking your commie rifle to Camp Perry. Lol.

Just got mine today (standard barrel). Happy to see it was TRW bolt and barrel and every serial number matched for every part.
Now my only debate is to invest in the barrel vice/wrench and other M14 specific tools needed to slap it into my M305 receiver, or just send it off to be done by a pro. I imagine every gunsmith familiar with these rifles will be booked solid for the forseeable future.
The IDF fiberglass stock wasn't the prettiest thing I had ever seen, but I never planned to use it anyway.

Uncertain at this time.
There is a lot of brand new in the foil m14 parts in Israel. They came along with the guns. They are not exportable
as they are us military property. Many of the guns were mint because they went through a rebuild program before
they went into long term storage. When they went to Israel, many weren't issued and went into storage there.
I think there was a total of less than 2000 guns came to Canada. No one bought many parts.

Just to clarify that.
Barney will Teach YOU how to install those parts yourself. See the info on his M14 Clinics, highly recommended rather than a private clinic, as you will see others working on their M14's too, compare notes, and glean info from each other. A great experience.
