Choke question

Google ALS Corner Store. They are in Ontario and carry Carlson products. They list a Winchester rifled choke tube to fit Winchester, Browning Invector, Mossberg 500. It is extended and costs 69.29

I was given two 12g Browning Invector tubes, flush fit. One says Lead -imp cylinder/steel Modified, the other says lead-modified/steel-full. I have never used them as I only have Remington shotguns. Look like they will fit and may try them later.

Your going to try invector tubes in a Remington shotgun? Good luck with that...

This isn't rocket science, a choke is interchangeable if the gauge, thread, and depth match.

I bought a new rifled choke (extended) for $27.00 USD and a full choke for $10.00 USD. Ebay.

Thanks to you guys I am comfortable that I bought the correct thread version for my gun.

If I didn't, guess they will be easy to sell here.

A Canadian on ebay has a set of three new winchokes for sale. Currently listed at $5.00 item # 162370059947

The rifled choke is cheaper than a rifled barrel but you'll want to see which load produces the tightest group. If the load is too fast then the sabot tends to tumble and you'll see keyholes in your target. In my experience slower is better when it comes to rifled chokes.

You did fairly well on the price, even with the horrible exchange rate.

P.S. I've had an Amazon.ca card for some time now and it's very useful. The card does not charge a foreign currency transaction fee like most cards and carries no annual fee. Also, upon sign-up approval you get $20 credited to your Amazon.ca account.

These chokes may look very much the same but they are not . the thread count and pitch of the thread is what will be different between the 2 .

Browning invector will interchange with win choke. mossberg 500. , weatherby Maverick 88 s&w savage they are all 32 threads per inch . The name each manufacture calls there system has nothing to do with anything it's just there name . Non of the Italian guns will interchange with these they are metric threads . Invector plus will not interchange with any of the above . The other manufactures use 44 threads per inch making them non useable
