we got out to the range yesterday, my wife got her registration and it was time to try out her new to her AR.
She had a great day, got to sight in a scope for the first time, once that was done and her AR was hitting where she was aiming it was time for some fun. She ran a few mags thru it at some targets, I set out a bunch of clays for her to bust, and within a few minutes she was looking like Annie Oakley out there, hitting everything she aimed at, and grinning from ear to ear!
Last night was a different story, a whole lot of whining about how sore her shoulder was, her father brought out an old Win 30-30 lever and between that, the 12 guage and her AR, she absorbed some recoil hahaha
A great day with my girl, and I gotta say for the money I am blown away by how well the DA/ Norc 556 works, we both have one now and as someone who isn't in a position to drop a couple of grand on an AR, I couldn't be happier with the DA, great value for the money!
My girl is a happy lady, and now officially part of the AR family :)

My wife was the one who got me started into firearms as she used to go hunting wth her dad when she was a kid. She let it go for 20 plus years but then suggested it to me as something I might be interested in as a couple of our friends are into shooting. Although I go to the range more than she does, I really like it when we go together. Its fun to be a little competitive! She likes shooting her CZ 9mm the most but I "surprised" her with an AR for Christmas which she is finding very fun to shoot too!

Very cool. My wife took the safety courses with me and wants to get into shooting also. Before the courses, she was afraid of guns, but we had a great instructor that helped her feel more comfortable and she has already picked out her first restricted.

Good for you OP!
My girl also shoots a fair amount, and I recently bought her first restricted firearm, a Sig Legion. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but I sure enjoy spending time at the range with her.

My wife was antigun but after moving to Alberta she started to hear more about the crap gun owners have to deal with she turned progun and now has fantasies of adding a Nighthawk Ladyhawk to her collection.

What kind of crap do gun owners have to deal with in Alberta?

Actually what I meant(and should have made clear) she was not exposed to gun culture in her family Winnipeg but after moving here she would hear more about it. She did here own investigations and did not like what she learned and changed her mind on the matter.
