like i said extrememly limited the 63 rifles are few an far between as well the mags are just as scarce as the guns were issued with 1 magazine, i think australia was the only country that got a civilian order from the fatcory( we know what happened to all there semi auot rifles) the rest floating around are mostly parts kits builds and rifles sent over from down underMost don't realize they are Type 81 mags and believe they are ak mags or just for the type 63/68. They are out there though and more than enough for the limited supply type 81 in the US. The 223 version has zero mags though.
There are several types and sizes for the type 81 mags. Different patterns in the stamping and some with stars. Would be nice to see those imported for those collecting mags too.

Fun fact. The type 63 and type 68 in semi auto have an frt entry as NR. Funny as they are the same gun. The 68 is a misnomer for the 63.

Both shoot 762x39 and have detachable mags. One is bubba'd. One isn't. One is obtainable right now, the other will require you waiting. One is sold by Tactical Imports who own this part of the forum, and the other isn't and thus posting competition links are frowned upon.

Sorry I was not sure if the SKS-KD was a well-known rifle or not. I have been waiting for the type 81 delivery date to firm-up but I also dont want to wait too long. Who knows what is going to happen with my ability to access these guns.

It's possible. Could be cloned. Could be brought in by any number of importers dealing in parts including TI. The magazines may be what we get. Could be a variety of types taken from surplus.
