Is anyone in the Hamilton/Burlington area that owns the tools required to install a barrel and could help me install it? Ideally some sort of support like a reaction rod/bev block and a torque wrench.

I'm willing to drive further if needed.

I'd really like to avoid buying the tools if I can since this is my only AR.

Thanks!

Can't help you unless you want to drive to Calgary, but I'd recommend finding someone with a reaction rod over a bev block.
I've had one bad experience with a bev block that resulted in some minor damage to my bcm upper receiver. It's minor, but with the reaction rod it's totally avoidable.

I have vise blocks. The type that you clamp the barrel (not the $hitty clam shell type that clamps the receiver)

I have the barrel vice blocks too, in addition to clam shells and a reaction rod. The rod is easiest. The vice blocks have their place, but not my first choice.

I imagine that once the barrel is installed, you insert it into the receiver as far back as it will go then rotate it into position and bring it forward into the FSB.
