What will the field ready rifle weigh in at ?
My Taylor is 9 lbs.+ and I wouldn't want it an ounce lighter !

:) That it is Phil, and, it's a keeper. Glad I picked it up. I became interested in the calibre, basically after going through some of P.O. Ackleys info on it. It's been through a few, primarily, cosmetic transformations and the last photo shows it as it is now.







Hope to get some field use out of it, :) soon.
 
416 Taylor case capacity is listed as 92gr (water) from this source - http://kwk.us/cases.html

I have a supply of 416 Taylor brass formed from 458 WM brass if either of you gents are interested.

Not sure I would have to go research that or ask the knowledgeable folks around here. I picked up these re-formed 416 Taylor cases because I might have been thinking about getting one built but that won't happen.
