Looking to get a couple LAR mags for my T97, I have heard that the C-Products LAR mags work awesome in the T97. I went to order a couple to see that right on the product page it says they do not work in the T97 shown here...

Are these possibly a new design that do not work?

Can anyone confirm that they do work? Or which mags will work in the T97?

I have seen on multiple youtube videos and forum posts that they work but I'm thinking they are an older revision of the mags.

Any help appreciated,
Thanks

not sure why they say that.
i have a LAR-15 mag that looks exactly like that with the orange follower and it works perfectly in my T97. only mags that doesn't work is polymer ones.

I have four of the LAR 15 mags they all fit and function with no problems, no modifications have been done to the rifle or the mags.
The only mag that has not been reliabe in my 97 is an Alberta tact AT15 poly. This one is seeing some mods.

It depends if the mags were crimped or not.

I remember Wolverine had a bin of 10 round mags for cheap, some were crimped and some weren't. The crimped ones were tight to load into my AR and even worse to remove.

Part of the problem is the variability in the T97s themselves... I've seen ones that won't work with certain mags, but then another runs the mags fine...

Only mag that won't work in my T97 is the beowulf. Have never had any problem with the 10-round pistol mags and every type of AR mag (poly or metal) works fine too.

Had the same issue with my type 97. It was not the magazines it was the gun it needed small alteration to the mag well

I find it to be the mags, not the gun.

Any feeding issues have been from loose mags. If I modified the magwell to accept the tighter mags good, more mags would be loose and cause feeding issues...

I think that the main problem is the manufacturing tolerances of the T97. Not everyone is experiencing the same issues and may have different solutions. In my case it was the catch on the mag release, it was longer than the slot in the mags so they wouldn't click into place, it wasn't a mag issue.

I just picked up a T97 FTU and a c-products LAR mag definitely doesn't work.
Super tight going in. Doesn't lock (over inserts and the bolt won't close) and a pita to try and pull out...

My RRA Lar mag won't fit in mine and while my XCR Lar mag fits, it's a jamomatic. My IMI polymer beowulf mags "fit" but are tight as hell and won't feed properly either.

Sometimes with polymer mags they will not fit initially or are very tight, however if put you a little oil on them and then insert them about twenty or thirty times times, they will fit with no problem.
