So I got to bedding this new stock last night. Thought I'd share here because there are a couple things other people might want to note before doing theirs.
It turned out not bad, the tang area isn't great because the bedding got to thin. If I was to do over I'd remove a bit of material to allow for a thicker layer. The cutout for the safety should be filled with clay putty as well. I managed to get it clean but it was tricky and if it was missed you might get the thing locked in. Another area to pay attention to is the roundish cutout for the bolt release pin. I put scotch tape over it and it turned out ok. You have to drill a small shallow hole for the pin after...look at the factory stock.



Here is the action after the shoe polish is buffed off. I put two layers of painters tape on the recoil lug between it and the action.




A bit of the bedding lifted here, gouge that bottom out a bit and it would look better. I'm still going to do a bit of work with body filler here. Notice the square corners...they look weird.
