Rimfire Surplus replicas

I wouldn't hold my breath on the Kingstons for the time being. Availability in the US still seems to be poor - at least, I didn't run arcross any retailers in the US selling them yet and Kingston Armory's own website product pages still say "Coming August, 2015" for the Garand and "Coming November, 2015" for the M14 with the Dealers page showing only "Coming Soon"

I have a norc "kkw" and it doesn't feel like the real thing at all. Don't get me wrong, i was really impressed. For the price it is more accurate than i expected but it feels like what it is. A cz brno knock off with cheap mauser like furniture. I have also heard really bad things about chiappa .22's. Really bad. As for gsg i have no idea.

It's a start.......

I looked those up online and the seller won't ship into Canada (not sure why). Did you buy the kit in the States and bring it back? If so, did you have any troubles at the border (on either side)?

The seller probably doesn't have their paperwork in order for legal export.

It is also possible that the parts manufacturer isn't registered with the US Dept of Commerce and if so, no one can legally export the parts out of the US even if they have their export paperwork in order.

And under current ITAR, a visitor to the US, or even a US citizen that doesn't have their export paperwork in order, cannot legally export the kits or parts thereof out of the US. So no, you cannot travel to the US and bring it back with you.

I wonder if the current US government might further remove ITAR restrictions but for now, we're at the mercy of their current regs.
