Data card on rifle stock?

I notice a lot of shooters have a ballistic chart card on their rifle stock for reference. Seems like a good idea for reference but I am darned if I can find a way to affix. Tried tape but it doesn't stick to either a synthetic stock, gloss or oiled either. What are you using that doesn't hurt the finish? Elastic bands maybe?

3m Velcro tape. In case the card changes you can swap it out and the glue comes off the stock easily

I found the best way was to affix it to the inside of my flipup scope cover. It doesn't detract from the looks of the gun and scope but it stays dry in the rain and snow. It is in a good position when you're ready to shoot.

I tape the drop info to the inside of my sling. Cover it with tape so it's basically laminated.
