I've seen uglier guns but they are usually Russian.
Why doesn't Remington bring back the real fiberglass stocks of the VS series (McMillan?). Those were good looking rifles.

Remington sps SA are averaging 950$. Magpul stock is around 375$. Magwell kit is 100$....so msrp will be around 1500$

700vs had HS precision stocks and they were crap, imo.. I went through 2 of them as they'd break apart at the front swivel stud.

Hmmm, weird. I've probably had 2 dozen, still own 5 or 6 never had an issue with sling swivels whether bipoded or slung. Some had more than couple thousand rounds through them so it's not like they were safe queens.

260 Rem is Remington's round. It is pretty close to 6.5 Creedmoor. I think they're probably thinking the popularity of 6.5 will translate over, but it probably doesn't work that way.

buyers beware. With the high cheek piece, you must take stock apart and cheek piece off to remove bolt.

Other then that, awesome rifle.

By pretty close, you mean they are ballistic twins...

The 260 rem is a popular cartridge, it doesn't have the cool factor of the creedmoor though. I've been wanting a 260 for a while... i feel like a lightweight 260rem would be an amazing deer rifle, capable of handling bigger game too if necessary, all with very tolerable recoil...

My next rifle will be in .260 Rem. I have never owned this calibre, but it seems to fill many bills, long range target, wide range of game and distance for hunting. It's especially attractive over the 6.5 Creedmoor because of ease in reloading, etc... I am not sure yet whether it will be one of these rifles, or another offering.

Do any of you know where the best deal for one of these Remington (in .260 Rem.) can be found at the moment?

Thanks and cheers all.
