The Ruger Alaskan is lighter, shorter & stainless, all good attributes for Joe Average 375 Owner. The Ruger is configured better than a 602? I don't see how, but I'd like to hear.
I've owned two 602s over the years and think that they were too big/heavy for a 375H&H. Perfect for a 416 and very good actions otherwise. Most folk really don't need a 375 for big bears [myself incl.] so the CRF and all the heavy duty is a bit moot. I was just as happy toting a lightweight M700 in 375. If I lived in you neck of the woods, I would probably think otherwise.
