Anyone have or even seen one of these?

Supposedly they're quality but there isn't many of them around.

I'd be interested in one mainly because they're incredibly light weight, only 5.7 lbs unloaded, which is about as light as a 12 gauge repeater gets.

Marstar has them in stock why not just get one and try it out? Pietta is a reputable manufacturer and a pump shotgun is a very simple low pressure action.

They cost enough that I'm hesitant to buy one without more than some old reviews to go on, plus I want to make sure I can get parts for them, and I haven't heard back from Marstar nor North Sylva {the Canadian Pietta importer} yet.

Indeed, the very light weight of this guy is interesting. Be an expensive experiment though.

It might stop from buying a STF-12 or a Benelli semi however!

Marstar says they don't carry parts though, and I'll have to wait until Monday to hear from North Sylva.

Parts are often an issue with these less popular SG's. Maybe we should pressure Remington to come out with a limited edition light weight 870 !!

Pretty unlikely, and I wouldn't trust Remington's attempt anyway.

There is a lightweight aluminum receiver version of the Ithaca 37, dubbed the Ultra Featherlight, which is in the same weight class as the PPA, but its recommended that you shoot light loads through it only.

Yeah I know about the Ultra Featherweight Ithaca but wasn't aware of the light load recommendation. Glad you mentioned this, won't bother pursuing one.

Guess that's where some of the Turkish & Italian stuff shines ...considerably less weight. Even some of the Mossberg stuff. That's why I went with the fluted 18.5" 590a1 to reduce some of the front heavy out of balance.

I can see why your on the lighter weight kick 870P. Real muzzle heavy stuff is not fun to lug around all day. Hopefully the Pietta will be worth pursuing for you.
