So You Think YOU'VE Bubba'd Your SKS?

If you had a ratchet system where you fired one shot per trigger pull with a very light trigger with little travel, it would make a ideal trunk/bear defense gun for the average Canadian.

Besides the mags, would that otherwise be legal in Canada?

I was wondering the same thing. Technically I think the answer is Yes
This better not clasify as a variant.

1 Any electrical or mechanical device that is designed or adapted to operate the trigger mechanism of a semi-automatic firearm for the purpose of causing the firearm to discharge cartridges in rapid succession."

Aye, but it doesn't operate the trigger mechanism of a semi-automatic firearm for the purpose of causing the firearm to discharge cartridges in rapid succession. It lets you fire multiple guns, the shots are not successively from a firearm. It is just a legal as a 30 round ruger 10/22 mag.

RG-G's .22 cal replica of a Civil War gatling gun isn't legal here, no reason why this would be either. Different cosmetics, but same effect...multiple rounds in a hurry.

Edit: Not saying I wouldn't want one, if it were allowed... :)

This gun has travelled around the auction circuit. Ian at Forgotten Weapons took a look at it when it was at RIA before it acquired the coat of pain in the video at the start of this thread.

Fairly simple, clever mechanism. Almost definitely illegal in Canada. The 10/22 trigger cranks are illegal up here, so I see no reason why this would be looked at any differently:
