The Canadian one looks better and I'll bet the gen 2 is plastic
Pretty sure it's aluminum but I still don't get it.

My guess is these should be priced about 900-1000 to really sell. Then you need to ask again, who will really pay more than 1k for a Norinco.
Will they accept Gen3 pmags without modifications ?
Will they accept Gen3 pmags without modifications ?
Or LAR mags, Hera mags?
People used to laugh who would ever pay more than a thousand dollars for a Norinco.
When Gen 1s are mid $700 price that almost double G2 price better come with something more than rail and sights.
Waiting for $900 deal.
...
Gen1 recently dropped in price, probably in anticipation of this coming out and nobody wanting the G1 anymore so they cleared them out cheap. Compared to the Gen1 before the price dropped, its more like $300 more not twice the price.
...
Current price is current price; that's it. The Gen1 price dropped to 7xx, slightly more than 1/2 of current price of G2 $1310.
Playing the before the price drop game is same as trying to buy/sell stock at yesterday's price, NO NO.
When the first batch CQ-A1 rifles came in, they were around $950. Overtime the market balanced the prices to the correct 600-700 range.
Knowing that the T97 gen1 goes for 7xx range now. You know how much of a markup Norinco products can go for.
It will be a matter of time these will come down to its correct market value, which will be under $1000.
Hopefully these dont plague of the same QC issues of the gen1s.
Yeah, these should go down in price eventually. Like the beginning of a negotiation at a garage sale: "Yeah, I want $100 for this candy dish." This is still Norinco, bullpup or not. If the Chinese manufacturers can't compete on price, they're not going to win over hearts with "build quality."
They really should have put the magazine release and safety in better positions on the gen 2. And if they didn't fix the feed ramp on this, then it's a completely missed opportunity.

Is this a Factory Gen2 or a Distributer modified gun?
Cheers
Jay
This is a Factory Gen2.
