If might not have anything to do with dry firing. Your op rod might have seized to your gas pipe. I haven't had it happen to me but have heard about it happening. You could disassemble your gun to narrow it down starting with the trigger group out of the stock and checking for operation. Two notes here safety won't engage if trigger has been pulled , and when you #### and pull trigger support the hammer threw its travel. The hammer on mine had sharp edges on it and I cut my hand up the first time(didn't have a good grip on it). If it's still stuck in battery, probably the op rod stuck. Protect the stock with towel or rag and might take a sharp blow with a hammer to free. Could be a price of carbon or tight tolerances.
