Woolly Mammoth

One would think the geneticist's would concentrate there efforts on something more useful to man like modifying a woman's disposition. Taking out the b!tch gene would be and excellent start.

What if it died from a disease that can wipe out our cattle industry. Ya bring it back and see what happens.
Working on this instead of a cure for cancer. But, Cures for cancer are bought up and shelved because it is a very big business. Research that boasts they are near finding a cure are never heard from twice.

When dad was a teenager, he worked up on the gold dredges in the Yukon. They were always digging up stuff that had been frozen in the perma-frost for centuries. He brought back sections of tusk and even a tooth from a mammoth. I remember it sitting on the shelf next to the (now pretty much useless) Encyclopedia Britannica set. It was HUGE!

Back on track...I would like a Woolly Mammoth for a pet. None of the kids at school would pick on my kids when it was pet-day at school, that is for sure. They would all want rides. It would be fun. Not sure about feeding it though...

dont you think it will hard on cleaning after him too ....

We'll have to throw a couple more folks to the sabertooths to make an example.

Done already. Swift and decisive action, and a show of absolute force is the only thing these Neanderthals understand.

Not saying there are any Neanderthals.............just that if there were it would be the only thing they'd understand; if there were any which there aren't.

Gentlemen, just to clarify for you, there never was such a dinosaur as a brontosaurus. It was a mistake made by a paleontologist when he found bones from more than one species in the same burial site but assumed it was of one dinosaur. Needless to say there will be no resurrection of such a mistaken identity.
I don't think we need herds of wooly mammoth roaming about the taiga, we already have muskox and caribou, grizzly and polar bear..........without the smilodon what would prey on it? And I for one sure as hell don't think we need the smilodon resurrected............Now were I younger, I may well have a different view of things.........
In a sense there kind of was, in recent years new research has led to many feeling that brontosaurus should be reclassified as its own genus, many now think it's not a case of mistaken ID after all.

I think its stupid to be making weird woolly mammoth elephant hybrids. We have multiple genetic samples and have already sequenced the genome. Id say clone one in a lab somewhere and shove it up a elephant to bring it to term. The tech may not be there yet, but that should be the focus. This weird hybrid animal wouldn't accomplish anything significant in my opinion. Then we can move on to t-rexes!
