Brand new rock chucker. Buyers remorse?

I just tape up the edges and around the back with a bit of masking tape.

Masking Tape????????? You can't be a native Canadian...........

On our American PBS "Educational Chanel" we got to watch "The Red Green Show". And I learned how to patch bullet holes in canoes and turn a hard top K-Car into a convertible.

I have used the stock primer catcher on the Rock Chucker Supreme for over a decade. I don't lose many primers and anyone with 2 good hands and half a brain is able to empty the cup with no problems.

Had to laugh at this one as emptying the cup is my only complaint about the Rock Chucker. I find the cup - the one with two trays that sit either side of the ram and that are connected by a channel that reaches up behind the ram - to be a real pain in the bum to remove. If this is the same catcher that the OP is talking about, I agree that it looks pretty cheap. That said, it works just fine.

As for priming on the press, I love my Lee Ram Prime (the one that screws into the die holder and that primes on the down stroke). I usually hand prime with an RCBS primer but I really like the Ram Prime for calibres where the case holder won't fit in the RCBS primer.

LEE Classic Cast has a hollow ram that feed's into a plastic tube. Put the end of the tube into an old coffee can and empty it when you fill it.

Why do you save used primers?

This was captured from his last post . . . #17.

He is saving them so he can buy another RCBS Rock Chucker Press . . .

Surely everyone has his name indelibly imprinted on the inside of their eye lids.
When he lists his Rock Chucker on the EE it is imperative to continue the conspiracy and don't buy it!
Oh . . . that may not happen as Nan_wpg has a "0" rating!

PS: I have two RCBS RC Presses. The first one is over 30 years old. Sure never though about complaining on this site about something so trivial.

Their scrap brass, and kinda like a tropy when you see a metal coffee can over 1/2 full

Hey buds, you're going to have to control that temper if you expect to last on this forum.
This is an aftermarket primer catcher for an RCBS press. Works quite well.

make sure it is from LoaderTools.com. Watch out for crappy knockoffs.

Already ordered!

Apology for my lashing in this forum category.

Rob the GREEN tape matches the press Color Best to Eliminate this HUGH Problem ! Laugh2 RJ

That's what I was thinking too RJ.
Btw, when you buy the RCBS it will be a cold day in hell that it takes second fiddle to the Lee press.
Congrats to the OP on his choice whether he was cajoled into buying the green one or finally saw the light so to speak.
Rob

Initially was gonna go lee until I compared them side by side and the rcbs seemed more "put together" so to speak.

It was when I mounted the thing and installed the primer catcher it,just seemed Mickey Mouse in relation to,the over all quality of the press. That's all.

What I have done with mine is to use a small flat disc magnet and a washer as a spacer to put it in-between the press and the primer catcher. By reducing the gap between the ram and the primer catcher problem is solved.
