Finally getting around to setting up my Hornady L&L AP. Watched the disc and proceeded to clean all the parts to remove any packing grease and varnishes. After finishing the very last of it I realized I had cleaned the entire press and parts with aerosol One Shot Case Lube not One Shot Gun Cleaner that is a &*%%$#.......Looks like taking apart again tomorrow and doing it right....strange thing is the aerosol Case lube seemed to be cleaning it fine....

Do yourself a favor and get rid of the Hornady case lube.
There are many threads on here and other forums cursing it.
Go with either store bought Dillon case lube or home made isopropyl alcohol 99% and liquid lanolin in a 10/1 ratio.

99% isopropyl alcohol can be found behind the counter at drug stores or as gas line antifreeze under the name brand Iso-HEET (in the red bottle not the yellow).

Hornady One Shot Gun Cleaner and Dry Lube is a great product to clean and lube your press.
I always keep a couple of cans around.

One shot case lube is entirely, or mostly silicone spray.

Doesn't the manual say to lube the shaft and plate bottoms with this spray anyways?

I use it from time to time.

Hornady One Shot case lube works pretty good for pistol cases, i.e. an application where lubrication is not required, but does cut down sizing effort considerably. It does not work so well with rifle cases.

Did the exact same thing with my hopper. LOL Damn cans look so similar! As far as using One Shot as case lube is concerned, I've gone through a couple cans of the stuff on well over a 1000 .308 and 7-08 cases without a single problem. I'll continue to use the stuff until i find a good reason not to.

Did I see you buying this press on Sunday at bass pro lol was checking out seen a guy buying a nice new press wishing I shot enough to justify doing it

Wasn't me as I bought mine over a month ago....hard to get the time to set it up right now.....the Price at the store you mentioned was about $200.00 less than everyone else however.

Just made some DIY case lube using the 99% isopropyl alcohol + liquid lanolin in a 1 to 10 ratio.

Most decent drug stores will carry the 99% isopropyl for $4-$5, but had to go to a health food store to find the liquid lanolin. 4 oz bottle ran me about $15. Dollar store for a large spray bottle. Figure I now have enough case lube for several yrs and many many rounds!
