260 Rem vs 6.5x47L - what would you do?

I haven't been impressed with any of the 6.5s I have tried yet, all were more sluggish than advertised. So, I wouldn't go with either, I'd consider the 6.5-06 the only viable option now.

Your splitting hairs... just go with the .260... it will sell better when you flip it in 2018.

I forgot to update this thread...I went with the .260 Rem. Guntech did a great job on the build. I went with a 24" barrel to start, using a #3 contour Shilen in an 8" twist. I haven't been home much in the last few weeks but might get it out tomorrow to start the break in process.

A 260 light weight hunting rifle is a dream of mine, have two heavy barrel'd brutes for laying in the grass and punching paper and steel way out there and it does a fine job of that. But soon, I will have my light weight 6.5mm hunting rifle.Interesting thread and good pics from Bartell!
