For those k98k fans here is a repost:
Finally got around to trying my hand at taking some pictures of one of my rifles.
This one is a 147/1938 which I found on home soil (Canada). Everything looks matching right down to action screws and cleaning rod. The only negative about this rifle is that somewhere along the line someone felt the need to sand the stock. I am assuming that they wanted to get some of the grit/grime out of the stock. Sadly they removed a lot of the markings including most of the serial number....although it can still be just faintly be seen. Well at least the 1 and a part of an 8, the 27 are lost forever. Still a great rifle and the earliest I have in my collection. I also had a fun time taking the pictures and realized my basement is just not setup for doing this. I have to do some learning in that regard and hope to do a better job in the future. I apologize on the sizing of the pictures, my 7D's batteries died and the lighting was kinda crappy, so I stuck it out with an iphone :faint:
Thanks
