Makes sense.

No flex-tab setup, 2 3/4" only, finish is often not great, probably needs some new springs, no recoil pad, wood is often dinged up, people tend to want ribs on the longer barrels, often come in only fixed full choke ....

Is it a 2 3/4"?
They aren't as desirable as a 3".
Its in the $200 to 250 range in the Maritimes where shotguns are plentiful.

Hope it eventually goes to someone who can appreciate it. It would be a shame to see it stripped and sold as a "tact build" gun as so many do.

I wonder why you say that.
As it sits, it's not a terribly useful gun. Especially if it's a fixed full choke.
Stripped, with new furniture and barrel, it can then be used once again.

An 870 like this people are suggesting $250 - 300 or less (not disagreeing with this)

Then you see the same a complete receiver (no barrel, stock or forend) going for on average $275 plus shipping. Something's "wrong" here but see it all the time.

To me, it just means people are way overpaying for a receiver. But you gotta build something to stop the zombies! That being said, the sum of a guns parts is always greater than the price of the complete gun, hence why people part out guns.
