I was about 20 yards from a Bobcat two November's ago outside of Pemberton. I was walking down the middle of a small powerline cut, and it crossed right infront of me.
Honestly kinda scared me. Not the whole seeing it part, that was exciting, but the whole part of having to walk straight over its tracks otw back towards the truck. I was all bundled up for the cold so my peripheral vision wasn't great with a hood up, and every step i took across the snow made lots of noise. That bobcat could have snuck up on me and I wouldn't have noticed. Very unnerving to be alone in the woods with a big cat you can't see or hear...
