I just picked up a Frankford Arsenal Rotary Tumbler, what recipies are people using . I remember there was a thread on it I just can't find it. I am using I table spoon of dawn and a 9mm case of lemi shine right now and have set it to 3hrs .

I like my Frankford wet tumbler. Make sure you tighten the rings real tight or it will leak; and don't let the cord catch the wheel or it will jam (don't ask me how I know).
Dump in SS, brass, 1 teaspoon dawn, 1/2 teaspoon lemishine (or citric acid, amazon,ca has 2lb for ten bucks). add cold water till inch from top, tumble for 2 hrs.
Recall Manual say whole tank must be less than 30lb filled.

Everyone probably does this differently. I get my son to put in a squirt of dawn.. my guess would be a tablespoon, and my daughter dumps a bunch of citric acid in.. probably about the same tablespoon (ish). I use hot water in the mix.
I'm sure people break this down to a rocket science, but as long as they're clean and shiny I don't really care. I tumble for about an hour. Unless I forget about it, then longer. :)

Add too much dawn and you get a bunch of suds (no harm), but you'll have to rinse them off in a separate clean water bucket (I do this anyways). Add too little soap and it doesn't get entirely clean. Add too much citric acid and they come out a dull brown. Add too little and they're not shiny.

I went to the dollar store a found a basket strainer that was fine enough to catch the pins. Holds the whole 5 lbs of pins. Great for rinsing the pins clean and don't lose any down the drain any more. The strainer from Canadian tire was too coarse, the pins would pass through.
