Only 2,015 units made to commemorate the 30years of Service to US Army...

I got got my RPAL on March 3rd. I had put a hold on this handgun sometime back fearing that the units would run out. Currently, to the best of my knowledge there are no more than 2 units left in Canada (Tiger Arms and Prairie Gun Traders). The shop has now initiated the transfer.

I can't wait to get my hands on this and use it at the range. Still have to do the Club Lvl Handgun course and the 4 probationary shoots. I am based in Ontario.

Anyone in canada with this gun? Care to share the experience.

Edit / Update : EPPS has a few in stock as well. Thanks @polkey for pointing that out.

Edit / Update : Got delivered today (March 13th, 2017)

No experience with it personally, but very nice choice!! I don't think you will be disappointed, give us a review after you get a chance to shoot it, congrats on such a nice first pistol :)

The M9 or 92FS civilian version is an excellent pistol. It fulfills your "Die Hard" and " Lethal Weapon" fantasies.
I've owned some version of the 92 for 30 years now. The only thing I dislike is the slide mounted safety which gets in the way of how I rack my slides. Otherwise, the Berettas are slick shooting and accurate handguns. Make sure the slide rails are lubed when shooting lots.

Our resident CGN expert on all things 92 related is Clobbersaurus. He torture tests Berettas in the name of fun. If you have any questions about your M9, give him a shout.

Yeah, I should have ignored. It is a little irritating when people just make random statements without providing adequate reasoning...I am sure @4n2t0 has his reasons.

You seem to be ok with everyone telling you it's awesome without adequate reasoning!

As long as you like it that's all that matters but don't expect everyone on a forum to blow smoke up your skirt, lol.

Why not tell him what you don't like about the pistol, tell him your reasoning for your statement, perhaps your personal experience with the pistol in question?
Doesn't make much sense to jump into a thread, tell a new owner that people are " blowing smoke up his skirt" and then not tell him why you feel that way??

He can't, that troll 420nt has nothing to add besides his irrelevant opinion. And it's just that his opinion its worth about as much as the lint he could pull from his belly button....

Back on topic here...

To the OP Beretta is known for quality barrels some of the best. I'm sure you will find it to be quite accurate and fun....

I believe 4n2t0's comment was related to this model being expensive. If thats the case, then it's absolutely fine. Everyone has a different budget. Yes, it is expensive compared to other 92fs's and M9's but then I do like the look and the limited edition aspect of this gun. A very dear family member is in the forces state-side, so there was that emotional connection behind the choice as well; but certainly not the only reason for this purchase.

As a gun, I have yet to come across anyone (on CNG or Youtube or Internet) who "hates" the gun, or someone who has identified a "fatal-flaw" in the shooting capacity or "quality" of 92fs's / m9's. Yes, there are many who "prefer" something else, which is great, we all should celebrate diversity and respect other's choices. But it has been hard to find someone who has provided a convincing argument on the quality and shooting capability of Berettas. Maybe I haven't looked hard enough...

I do acknowledge that 9mm vs .45 is another debate...
