Savage .22 LR FV- SR dress up complete!

Didn't turn out too bad! Haven't shot it yet..waiting until it warms up!
Built with L96 ( airsoft) stock, jB weld, expanding foam, and patience. Paint is a very light grey ( not white) ultra flat clear coat. Let me know what you guys think!

What's going on with the barrel? Is that some sort of screw on shroud?

It's neat

It's a cover that fit over the FV-SR's heavy barrel..the Airsoft gun has a inner ( 6mm bore) and an outer barrel. I removed the inner barrel, and slid the outer barrel over top of the bulled barrel. Gave it that "bulled" look..

Thanks! I'm taking it to a range on Thursday to sight it in. I'll post my thoughts and any improvements/adjustments I ended to make. I'll make a few more once I acquire more Savage fv-sr's

Thanks! It feels great with that thumb hole and bi-pod. Very solid! The adjustable cheek rest makes for a comfortable and consistent sight in.

It wasn't too bad, took about week working only a couple hours per day. I'm going to build more and they won't take as long now that I've worked out the kinks

Yah, I had a spare Airsoft gun kicking around. Gutted it completely and filled the hollow plastic stock with expanding foam and JB weld.. Then used a dremel to grind out slots for the savage mk11 upper and trigger group to drop in.
