Pictured below is my S&W Model 10-5 .38spl revolver made in 1962. It is now a PPC revolver with custom 114mm/4.5" barrel, steel rib and sights.

Does anyone know what brand the rib and sights might be? I am looking for the elevation screw and detent that goes under the screw.
Thanks:cheers:

That looks like a handmade job. The rear sight is the standard Smith and Wesson M41, M52 version. Front part seems to be the same as the winged design by Power custom. Looks well done, whomever did the work.

Wow Dr Jim, looks like you are right. Good eye! I looked up those models and some did come with a rear sight that appears identical to mine.

Might be hard to find one though...

Thanks

They shouldn't be that hard to find. In fact I have one off a Model 52 somewhere in the shop. Don't know if I'll use it or not, need to check out the sight that came on a recent purchase before decision time.

cheers Jim

Looks like a slick unit. Probably a S&W 52 rear sight. What's the deal with the 4.5" barrel?

Thanks, it works pretty slick to. I just put a standard hammer back in it, missed the single action due to the bobbed hammer I had in it. Very smooth 7lb DA and 2lb SA.

As for the length, I have no idea. I bought it used about 8 years ago from a LGS. There seems to be no difference in accuracy with this barrel length compared to other 6" PPC revolvers.
