I'm looking for opinions on whose had the chance to compare a Kidd, Dlask and a Volquartsen 10/22 barrel. I currently have a Dlask in the xtreme chamber and it is fussy what I feed it. It will still have ejection issues and the odd round that doesn't fire with high end or the cheap box stuff. It has had every part upgraded so I'm leaning to it just being the xtreme chamber being my issue.

I see Kidd lists their chambers as "match" and I can't seem to stumble on what they consider they'll cycle and would like to replace my Dlask barrel with something that will cycle any ammo but will hold its own on accuracy.

Thanks

I am considering another Dlask barrel but I'd like to hear what everyone thinks of the other males before buying a barrel. I'd also like to keep the xtreme chamber for a rainy day.

well i got a tacsol and its nice.
light.
i find the aluminum almost too soft, really scratches easy.
my dad has a Green Mountain on his, same as a Dlask really, Dlask barrels are GM blanks.

i cant speak to the Kidds or the VQ's.

Have tried Kidd, Volq, TacSol and Dlask. (+ Anschutz)

Pretty much narrowed my choice down to Dlask in sporter. Not to say the others were "bad", but value for money, I went Dlask and my Dar22 eats everything.

why not get a Dlask 'Sporter' chamber or send yours back to Dlask and have him ream it out to a Sporter.

good advice, the match chamber is really for benchrest rimfire rifles and the match ammo costing at least 15 bucks a box,

a lot of not so great ammo will not fit properly in the chamber and thus extraction issues and so on

thinking of building a gun such as this and just bought one of EE and probably will not get match chamber even

thou I fancy myself a benchrest kind of guy

I was thinking of keeping my Dlask with the xtreme chamber just for those times where I want to pull out the high dollar ammo for some fun on the bench Jeff.

good idea my suggestion was meant for a wider audience,

also conside the KIDD match 2 stage trigger that goes down to 3 / 3 ounces on first or take up stage and 3 oz on let off they also have a 8 / 8 and so on

or 6 / 6 cannot remember, I wish I could evaluate the light triggers for a report or a test as I have shot short range Br for 20 years and competed internationally and would like to let folks know if the 3 oz is really worth it or if the slightly heavier trigger is the way to go but they are in the USA and do not care about me or the evaluation of the light triggers and it is too expensive to order 3 of them and then sell 2 of them

so I will probably order the 66 or the 88

Hey guys since we are kind of topic here. Im looking at the Dlask sporter myself, but was wondering if anyone has any problems running CCI ammo through it? minimags, blazer or stingers? thx

Sorry for the lil derail. :)

I've only ever put CCI, Eley, Lapua, RWS through mine; zero issues. CCI Blazers are my go-to plinking ammo.

I have both Kidd trigger groups, the two stage and the single stage. The two stage I simply would not recommend for a 10/22 if it's basically used for hunting or whatever. I would recommend the two stage if yiur a paper shooter tho. Single stage set at 1.5lbs feels super nice and light and is 300$ at dlask vs almost 500 just for the two stage option. Grab the single stage of your hunting with it. These triggers are worth the money is all I can say!

i have both the Sporter and the Xtreem (Bentz) in Dlask barrels and i feed mine pretty much exclusively CCI stuff with no problems at all.

I believe that the Dlask X-Treme chamber is tighter than Bentz. I have a McGowan barrel and an Adaptive Tactical barrel that are both labeled "Bentz", both are accurate and functioned flawlessly from day one. My Dlask "X-Treme" barrel took a painful 800 rounds of break-in and a trip to the Dlask shop before it would match the reliability of the other Bentz chambered barrels. I think that the Dlask "Target" chamber is closer to Bentz.

Here is a partial listing of various .22lr chambers:
