Excellent reputation. As stated, mags are expensive, and in the unlikely event it is required, aftermarket support and parts are hard to acquire.

Lots of other great players in the striker fired polymer field to consider as well.
 
I went to the lgs last weekend with every intention to buy one but just couldn't get past the mag release. Other than that it felt good in the hand. Ended up preferring the M&P and Glock which surprised me because I thought I hated Glocks lol.
 
Imho it's the better off the Hk line up grips....nice pistol, well made, great target shooter...kinda miss mine..
 
I prefer the VP9 to my 320. Fit is nice (and comes with multiple options) in the hand. Good weight. More accurate (for me) than the Sig. No issues with it so far with 300 or so rounds fired. It's a keeper.
 
I have my sfp9 for almost a year with more than 3000 round counts. No malfunction or jam so far. Very accurate.

The paddle magazine release can be a benefit. I don't need to move my grip (to reach the release button) and use my trigger finger to press the paddle. It takes some time to get used to it. But once it becomes your second nature, the mag release can be done very quickly. And the paddle prevents accidental mag release( when you support hand is over the button).

I use it in IDPA club matches and I love it. I've shot Glock 17, M&P9, FSN9, P320 and I still prefer the sfp9 (the p320 second).

And yes, the magazines are expensive.
 
I've owned two. I liked them a lot but the grip always felt too slippery to me. I prefer the USP as far as polymer H&Ks go.
 
Tried one out at the range today...it's not gonna work for me. Very accurate and good looking but my thumb kept on interfering with the slide release lever, preventing it from locking open on empty. Too bad, I really wanted to like it.
