Chinese Tpye 53s at Cabelas, Tonawanda

Thanks for sharing. Cool guns. Cabelas won't sell to a foreigner, even one with an FFL. They won't even ship to a FFL... It's a stupid policy.

Becuase he is a member here and as we are all Gunner he is posting for our enjoyment..... My thoughts anyways, they are rarely seen, kinda cool to see one.
There lots of guns in the US that arent in Canada. This thread is borderline click bait.

Very rare gun in Canada, last time I had one in stock was about 15 years or more. A few were imported into Canada in the late 1980's when Century had their mail order warehouse in Montreal. The ones in the USA now were imported by Century Arms in Vermont from Albania about two years ago. China supplied a lot of firearms to Albania in the late 1950's.

Albanian MN type 53 carbines could not come into Canada, I spoke to my friend at Century when they came in and it was a no go. He told me it was a matter of an "End User Certificate" from Albania that forbade the export out of the USA to a third party. Like you can see in the photo, they went through very hard use in Albania.

Offtopic/related; I have a Russian M44 that supposedly saw use in Albania. I can't verify it tho. It's all matching, beaten to sh¡t, non refurb. Some cosmo/post cosmo shots:

So what's the deal, these things any good or are they just desirable because they're rare here???

Chinese made Mosin M44 is what they are. Few have made it over to North America and fewer to Canada. Most are in rough condition as they saw so much use as far as I understand. Gun Nuts here have been wanting importers to source them and bring them in for years.

Once those guns are on the secondary market, none of that will matter.
