Trijicon 1-8x28 AccuPower

Sorry don't have anything to compare against beside my Elcan specter 1-4x but it's definoitely replacing it.

That's a big statement. On which criteria?
Did you compare light gathering at dawn, 4x vs 4x? Illumination full power at noon 1x? Acquisition speed in that "reddot" mode?

I understand the 8x power can be a huge bonus but there must compromises somewhere.
That and the mounting options, reticle options, affordability vs Specter DR/TR...

Nice. I hope to get one, too, sometime later this year.

Well, it sure will be similar to old prices of the Elcans. As they have gone up.

The trijicon has to be close to $2500 if not more with the lever, mounts and taxes.

Elcan Specter DR 1-4x is $2800 now. Their current pricing is out of wack IMO.

Right now the demand is outstripping supply for the Trijicon 1-8x....

I was checking the weight and reticle, maybe the Khales 1-6 would fit my need better. , someday when have the chance to own a AR 10, will look again at the Trijicon.

So I own a Primary Arms 1-8x which costs a fraction of the Trijicon, whats the difference?

I`m guessing clarity is the big one (probably build quality too) but is it really that much better (roughly triple the price)

I`m genuinely curious, I have no problem spending the cash on something provided its worth it

Funny both the Elcan and Kahles cost more than the Trijicon, yet you are trying to justify why the Trijicon is worth more.

There's a lot of coverage on this scope online already. What it really comes down to is for you to look through them both at the same setting.

Lol. You need to compare apple to apples. Primary arms is a quarter of the price for a reason. I own TRIJICON products and they are top notch. Many people loved the previous accupower. This one looks badass.

So buy with confidence.

I`ll be honest - Ive never even heard of Elcan or Kahles so I`m not sure what point you're trying to make

What I do know is that the Trijicon cost around triple what the Primary Arms I have costs so as I said previously I`m genuinely curious if its that much better as I`m in the market for another scope if it is

Apart from looking badass (agreed) where does the extra cash go?

Better quality glass/clarity? More robust? Better tracking?

8x @ 100 yards is beautiful... I can see .223 holes no problem!!!

Finally sighted in. The tool-less zero stop turrets worked perfectly.
