you modified a prohibited device. the mag would need to be MADE for that rifle from scratch, IE new design.

The mag was MADE for the 10/22 period and full stop! The Charger pistol was made to use existing 10/22 mags. The 25 rnd 10/22 mag predates the Charger pistol by decades.

So for the newb here who is about to buy a S&w M&p 15-22.... Legally all I can own are 10 rnd mags?

MM, just wait until they ban all .22 mags over 10 rnds. That is the truth gun owners live with since Bill C-68, they will just make more and more laws and you will have your legal taxed goods stolen from you by the RCMP just like when you used to buy 30round anything mags and now with 25rnd .22 mags.

What needs to be done is to legally change the current system. The RCMP is a self-serving, self-interest group that is no different than asking the deer to make the deer hunting regulations. Only when the government sees the truth of this and agrees to the unfairness of it, will they change; but they will only change if they care...good luck with that one! Only a gun owners cares about guns and there are very few gun owners in office today.

I too donated money.

How much longer before a court challenge is launched? A court challenge will make this far more public, and call into question RCMP conduct and trust.

After the High River mistake and the RCMP being able to stay out of court by transfering staff around and making payouts, this is an opportunity to call them out publically.

Canadians deserve to know this is just the beginning, and unless the RCMP are publically held accountable, more mistakes will happen.
