The No.1 for me right is an actual issued Finnish Lahti. There's even one in the EE at the moment but I'm unfortunately just not in a position to buy anything right now.

A mixture of Price and availability of unsporterised version has kept me from getting them

I have a long list but my top ones include.

1.The Japanese 44 cavalry carbine and Type 2 paratrooper rifle. I know I am going to have to import them from the US and missed my chance when the dollar was at par.

2. An all matching VG or better 1914 dated Gew 98, to join my 1914 SMLE and 1914 Mosin 91. I have a non matching 1914 dated Gew 98 I'll sell once I get the matching one.

A C-96 Mauser. 9mm or 7.63, don't care. Just looking for an unmatching fixer-upper to shoot a little and admire the mechanism. There's a very reasonably priced one in the EE right now but I'm having a hard time justifying it right now with other projects on the go right now.

As far as the WW1 era goes;

GEW 98 for me as well

Luger - 12.6,

Lebel "Fusil Mle 1886 M93",

I have seen plenty for sale, but the older I get, I want a nice ones.

As odd as it may be, more than 3/4 of those listed above, I have owned at one time or another.

Tastes change, then you go full circle for a second round of pleasure.

Only problem, second time around, prices have doubled, tripled and in some cases, full retard.

Japanese 44 cavalry carbine and Type 2 paratrooper rifle

I was at a gun show here in St. Petersburg, Florida last year and guess what I had in my grubby hands?

Both of those, in really nice vg++ condition.

They where both vet bring backs and where being sold off as they did not fit the present owners collection.

He was heavy duty into M1 Garands.

They where part of a large collection of Japanese arms on the table.

Everyone just walked on by and oogeled up the AR-15's.

There is always lots of Japanese war trophies in Florida for some reason or another.

I was itching, but!!!!!

Prewar karabinek wz. 1929 and pistolet wz. 35 Vis are two that I am determined to acquire at some point. I know I'll be paying out the nose for all matching prewar examples but these are two firearms I can't not have!

First one I had as a teen was a Lee Enfield. Stupidly sold it at a time of need and now they are about 5 times the price I paid for mine. Guess I'll wait till the prices go down.

My 1913 DWM P.08 Luger. Bought and paid for, had the barrel conversion done, currently sitting in Miramichi being reclassified since early 2016.

Otherwise....an FG42.

There is a lot that I want and will both be hard to find and expensive.

All matching and original M91 Mosin Nagant Infantry, a Romanian M93, a Lebel 1886/93, a Greek M1903 pre-WWI, a Turkish M1890, M1893, and M1903 in original 7.65x53. Any Serbian WWI era Mauser (those are made of true unobtainium). A Swiss K1893, KG 1900, K1905, and G1889/96.

I could keep going all day, but those are the harder to find items. There is still other things I want which are more common (like a all matching Gewehr 98, still pop up every now and again, or a Lebel-Berthier M16 with all the M16 features). Out of those listed I have only seen one Turkish M1893 in original caliber for sale, two Lebel 1886/93s for sale, and one Swiss K1893 for sale in Canada. That's not too much considering I have been looking and watching for over 5 years.
