ATRS Ultra-light rings for T3x CTR/Viper PST Combo

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows of the top of their head what height of ATRS Ultra-light rings would be best for a Tikka T3x CTR (.308) and Viper PST 6-24x50 combo. I do not currently have access to the rifle but was hoping to order the rings so everything is ready to go when it arrives. I would like enough clearance to use caps and a cover. I poked around the forum for a related thread or post but was unable to find anything. I appreciate your responses!

Use this calculator You need to know the scope base height as well. Are you planning to use a factory one or something else? I don't own Tikka but my Savage factory rail is pretty high, so I ordered low rings.
 
Thank you for the response. I will be using the rail that comes on the Tikka. I will try to track down measurements.
 
My calculation suggests medium rings:

Objective bell diameter: 57.4mm
Wrap thickness: 2mm
Scope ring height: 25.4mm
Scope mount + barrel taper height: 7.44mm

2.14mm (0.08 inches)

Is this enough? Where did you get the rail measurements?

Google it. Sniperhide or snipercentral. There are a lot of threads about the rings height from Tikka owners. If I were you I would wait for the rifle to arrive. Then check the eye relief and stock fitment, see how do you like it. You can put coins underneath the scope to imitate its possible positioning. After that just measure them all together and order rings that suit you the best.
 
I am quite new to firearms. What is the advantage of switching to a 20MOA rail? Is this throwing good money after bad when the gun already comes with a 0MOA rail?

Gives you more adjustment, so you can shoot further using the scope's internal adjustments.

I do have a set of HIGH 30mm ATRS rings for sale if you are interested, 150$ shipped.
 
They suggested lows with their 20MOA rail. I have spent over my budget on both the rifle and the optics so I want a good finish!
