I have been intrigued by the 12" takedoen Chiappa rifles; in 44 mag, and 45-70 gov.

I was wondering if anyone knew how much velocity these cartridges get at 12", and a general review of the rifles ' usefulness.

Ive heard of the issues with the finish already, and i dont suspect that it is a persistent problem. Any first hand experience of how it's holding up?
 
If I get a chance I can chrony my 44 mag, but it's held up great and eats everything except long loaded Buffalo Bore 305gr (which is factory loaded longer by BB).

It fires the BB ammo great, just needs a jiggle to cycle it. Everything else is awesome.
