The next little thing

ya I guess it's a bit rare, it's the Haenel Jager 9, built by Merkel. It's a bit funny looking, even when your holding it.....but then you shoulder it and it's bloody great. As a 7 Mag and at 5.5lbs, it's a little lively .....But it just struck me a neat unit and had to be tried out...(man, how much trouble has that type of thinking caused me over the years...). Anyway, it's light, takes down in seconds, so can be stashed in a pack for some ugly climbing. The sighs are great, so good for rain/snow/fog crappy weather, and perfect for pushing through the thick stuff, fast to shoot if you need to, then pop the optic back on when you reach the tops. The other thing thats' cool is the cocking.....it's a push/slide set up like a Krieghoff, so you can carry a round in the chamber, but the hammer is down, when you want to shoot, push the cocking piece up and your hot....don't like the shot, slide the piece back down...guns safe
Has a set trigger too....me likey!!!

Very neat, it looked a healthy cut above the bargain stuff and was curious. Stock lines struck me as non-budget. I love a light rifle, neat option. 7 Mag has come to be my go to all rounder even if not the cartridge that pulls at my heartstrings, and what my loaner rifle is chambered in too. It bloody well works and is on every shelf.

Yea I'll likely just grind a bevel on an existing expander while turning it downstairs then polish, pretty sure I have two sets of 10mm / .40 dies. Been trying to sell the spare for years then forgetting about it, seems it was for a cause.

That's awesome... I was tired of his rude and senseless drivel... and his chosen CGN handle was a little to close to your own... wouldn't want people getting confused.

My wife made that decision for me after an angry whisky night, that stuff is now banned from our house. Beer and wine only here, much more relaxing and nothing expensive gets broken, win win.

I too was a little confused lastnight .
I had NHunter mixed up with NL Hunter ...I was having comes with NH about some ammo I have for sale and the messages where getting cryptic.
Trust he gets the help he appeared to be asking for and no not being banned being the help he needs.
