The thing won't thread down flush. Comes tight and I've got a gap. Is there such a thing as a point 920 diam crush washer or shim? I kind of wanted the seamless look and the long barrel threads pretty much ruined that plan

Yea I've seen shims for them

Do you know where? I can't find anything online. Anyone else? Before I start looking at cutting some threads off at a Smith. Cannot seem to locate anything that might fix it

If you can't find one let me know and I'll cut you one

Thanks appreciate it. I found a couple one guy wants 50 plus material and say he has to do it by hand and in aluminum. Stainless is going to set me back 75 bucks for two. I'm more of a 24 of beer for a washer kind of guy lol

I had a couple made few years ago on the friends and family plan, it's not that big a job if you can find the right person.

i assuming this is the problem you ran into?

that is a TacSol on my 8.5" Dlask.
i found that either i needed to have the TacSol drilled and threaded longer on the inside or get another one that has deeper threading on the inside.
the problem is tacsol dosnt drill their threading down very deep and Dlask have longer threading on his barrels.

with one of mine i ended up getting a Dlask comp and on the one pictured above i ended up getting another comp that had deeper drilled threading.

for all intense and purposes there is no reason why you shouldnt be able to just drill out from the other side to meet up where the threading is.
its not like the comp is crowned at the end, your still using the the barrel crowning, so if you drilled out from the far end in to the depth where the comp threading started that would remove the barrier that your hitting.
you could then just go with the indexing that you bottom out on when you hit your barrel or you can get a crush washer, but for the TacSol comp it dosnt need to be indexed so youd be good without.

just an idea.

If you want buy the 1/2-28 tap and cut the threads to the length you require. If you need help finding one let me know and I'll be happy to direct you to where you can buy one.

Exactly the problem yes

The tacsol is aluminum correct? And you are saying drill in from the far end to avoid messing and threads that already exist
