Chrome lining typically reduces accuracy. Don't worry, if it's a Lothar Walther as Mike states you won't have any complaints with the barrel.

The chrome lining thing is getting old on cgn, bud. It's practically a match barrel and people complain.

Since the Swiss typically like being compatible with US designed rifles?
Hopefully it is but I doubt they would use an AR extension and bolt head.
Either way, Ian at Herron will be able to bend you over for a $1200 replacement if he has to remove the extension from the original barrel.
I doubt you'll have to worry about the barrel for at least 20000 rounds though. Lothar Walther knows how to make barrels.

Do you know if it's Nitrided?

Even if it's untreated steel, you could pull the barrel and have it nitrided, if you're really worried about the 100 000 rounds you're going to put through it....
